What Are Inlays and Onlays?

Inlays and onlays are custom-made restorations used to repair teeth that are too damaged for traditional fillings but don’t require full crowns.

Inlays are used to restore the biting surface of a tooth (within the cusps)
Onlays cover a larger area, including one or more cusps of the tooth

These restorations are crafted from high-strength ceramic for durability and a flawless aesthetic, blending seamlessly with your natural teeth.

Your Inlay or Onlay Treatment Journey

First Appointment
We’ll assess your tooth, remove any decay, and take precise digital scans or impressions. A temporary restoration will be placed to protect the tooth while your inlay or onlay is crafted.
Second Appointment
Once your custom ceramic restoration is ready, we’ll securely bond it in place. We’ll check your bite and ensure everything fits comfortably.
Ongoing Dental Health Reviews
To keep your restoration — and the rest of your mouth — in excellent condition, we recommend regular dental health checks and hygiene visits.
