Please don’t neglect your dental hygiene - why? Watch this video

January 27, 2021

As the Covid-19 rules are getting a little confusing now, we wanted to let you know that Drayton Dental Care near Norwich remains open during the third national lockdown for dental and hygiene care, in line with the latest Government guidance.

As well as the usual stringent safety measures that we have always had in place, you can rest assured that our dental practice is also Covid-safe. So, please don’t put off coming to see us. If you already have an appointment booked, it will go ahead as planned.

We would like to emphasise the importance of maintaining your dental hygiene, especially at the moment. A healthy mouth reflects a healthy body – and the better our general health, the more resilient we are at fighting viruses and illnesses and making a swift recovery.

Research has found that serious gum disease is linked to medical conditions, such as severe complications from viruses, arthritis, heart disease, bacterial lung infections, dementia, strokes and diabetes, among others. So please don’t be tempted to neglect your dental health.

If you would like to secure an appointment with our hygienist Bala, you are very welcome to do so by calling us on 01603 860885 or emailing info@draytondental.co.uk. Please do not visit our practice if you do not have an appointment already booked in.

Our practice is safe and our extra precautions include:

  • Covid-19 pre-screening before your appointment
  • Covid-19 temperature checks for staff and patients on arrival
  • Reduced number of patients in waiting areas
  • Strict hand hygiene for all staff and patients
  • High level, medical grade PPE for our staff
  • Additional cleaning and disinfecting between every patient appointment
  • Ventilation and air purifiers in surgery and waiting areas

Our specially fitted fogging machine disinfects and sterilises the surgery using a very fine mist. This equipment has been successfully used when eradicating SARS - COV2. We also have Compact Air Purifiers that are in constant operation within the surgery, which kill bacteria as small as 0.03 microns and provides 10 changes of air an hour.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line.

We wanted to share a video regarding the dangers of gum disease to emphasise the importance of taking good care of your teeth and gums

Take care and stay safe.
